A structured program for Australian founders and leaders

How the Meinsalonspace Academy program works

The program combines live labs, guided practice and a simple monthly rhythm. You don’t just learn concepts — you build a reliable way of reviewing your numbers and making decisions.

Most leaders stay in the academy for three to six months. That is enough time to build habits around cash, margin and capacity that continue long after the program ends.

Leaders participating in an online financial analysis lab

Live labs + quiet practice

Each week blends 75 minutes of guided work with time to apply the tools to your own reports.

Program snapshot

A clear structure that fits around board meetings, client work and family time.

Weekly live labs

75-minute online sessions where you work through one focused skill – cash mapping, margin analysis or scenario sketching – using your actual reports.

Guided practice prompts

Short exercises to complete between sessions. These prompts turn finance from a once-a-month scramble into a steady weekly habit.

Meinsalonspace workspace

A private online studio for your cohort where you store key reports, track decisions and capture insights from each review cycle.

Cohort support

Small groups of leaders from different sectors share what they’re seeing in their numbers, so you learn from multiple business models, not just your own.

The core modules you’ll work through

The exact sequencing is tailored to each cohort, but most groups move through these four pillars.

1. Cash clarity

Build a simple cash map that shows how money actually moves through your business. You’ll:

  • Connect invoices, payroll, tax and debt repayments in one view.
  • Identify pressure points when timing shifts or clients delay payment.
  • Design a weekly cash check-in that takes minutes, not hours.

2. Margin and pricing

Shift from “Is this profitable?” to “Where exactly is value created and lost?” You’ll:

  • Build a margin ladder by product, project or client segment.
  • Test pricing and scope scenarios with simple, transparent models.
  • Learn how to communicate trade-offs clearly to your team.

3. Capacity and runway

Understand how headcount, utilisation and growth plans interact. You’ll:

  • Map your current capacity against upcoming work and pipeline.
  • Explore hiring and investment decisions with rough-cut scenarios.
  • Translate complex spreadsheets into one-page capacity stories.

4. Numbers stories for boards & teams

Turn dense reports into concise stories your stakeholders can act on. You’ll:

  • Structure board packs around questions, not just tables.
  • Craft simple updates for managers and frontline teams.
  • Build a repeatable template for monthly and quarterly communication.

Formats and time commitment

The academy is designed to fit around a busy leadership schedule. Most participants are founders, CEOs or senior executives with limited time and high responsibility.

Weekly live labs

75 minutes per week in an online room with your cohort and a facilitator. Australian time zones, no travel.

Between-session practice

45–60 minutes to apply tools to your own reports and capture decisions in the workspace.

Optional 1:1 sessions

Short check-ins when you’re preparing a board pack, investor update or major decision.

Typical weekly time commitment

  • 1.25 hours – live cohort lab
  • 0.75–1 hour – individual practice with your numbers
  • Optional 30-minute 1:1 for key decision weeks

Most leaders simply repurpose some of the time they already spend worrying about numbers or preparing for finance meetings.

Cohort options for different kinds of organisations

Whether you are a solo founder or part of a larger leadership team, there is a format that can work.

Founder & small team cohorts

Mixed groups of founders and executives from different sectors. Ideal if you want external perspectives and are comfortable working with peers from outside your industry.

In-house leadership cohorts

A dedicated academy track for your organisation’s leadership team. Everyone works from the same reports and decisions, building a shared language around cash and margin.

Board & advisory cohorts

For boards, advisory groups and investors who want more productive conversations about numbers with the teams they support.

Investment and next steps

Program fees vary depending on cohort type, team size and optional 1:1 support. We will share a clear outline once we understand your context and goals.

The first step is a short intro call. We’ll review your current reporting rhythm, the decisions on your desk and whether a cohort is likely to be valuable in the next six to twelve months.
