Program and learning format

How Meinsalonspace Academy works week to week, and what you can expect as a participant.

Traditional courses often focus on theory, formulas and long slide decks. Meinsalonspace Academy is built around your actual business. You bring real reports from your accountant or cloud platform and we work with those numbers directly.

The goal is practical fluency: being able to read your reports quickly, ask better questions and make decisions with more confidence.

Most leaders stay in the academy for three to six months. That timeframe is enough to experience several full review cycles, adjust your reporting rhythm and build habits you can maintain without external support.

Some organisations choose to extend for additional cohorts when new leaders join or when they are preparing for a major change such as expansion, acquisition or new investment.

You can expect around two to three hours per week:

  • 75 minutes for the live online lab with your cohort.
  • 45–60 minutes to apply the tools to your own numbers and update your workspace.
  • Optional 30-minute one-to-one sessions during key decision weeks.

Most leaders simply repurpose time they already spend preparing for finance meetings or worrying about cash flow.

Live sessions are scheduled in Australian time zones, with cohorts commonly running in AEST and AWST. If your team spans multiple regions, we work with you to find slots that are realistic across locations.

Who the academy is for

Questions about the kinds of businesses and leaders who benefit most from the program.

No. The academy is designed for leaders without formal finance training. Many participants describe themselves as “not numbers people” when they first join.

We start from the reports you already receive and build up language, structure and habits from there.

If your company is generating revenue and you are looking at monthly reports or cash summaries, the academy can be useful. Very early pre-revenue teams may benefit more from other kinds of support until their financial picture matures.

Yes. Many organisations enrol a small leadership group: founders, CEOs, COOs and key functional heads. Working from the same reports accelerates alignment and leads to clearer internal conversations about numbers.

Cohorts regularly include leaders from technology, services, construction, professional firms and e-commerce. While the sectors differ, the core questions around cash, margin, capacity and growth are surprisingly similar.

Numbers, data and privacy

How we handle your financial information and what happens to your data during and after the program.

No. You control what you share in live sessions. We encourage participants to work with real numbers, but you decide which figures appear on screen and which details are kept private.

Any examples we use outside your cohort are anonymised and combined so that individual businesses cannot be identified.

No. You export the reports you want to work with from systems such as Xero or MYOB. We focus on interpretation and decision making rather than building new integrations.

Documents stored in your Meinsalonspace workspace are kept for the duration of your program and a short archive period. You can request deletion at any time. Full details are available in our Privacy Policy.
